“Enduring, not ultimate form”: from “Industrieform” to Red Dot (1980 - 1997)
Hedgehog
Hedgehog is the home’s digital guardian that provides business-like protection for home networks but with a simple plug-and-play setup. It uses Zobi Home Intelligence to detect and prevent cyber-crime across the entire home network.
Hedgehog is small, cute, but prickly in the face of attacks; hence its name. Its sharp defensive edges are a subtle nod to the spikes of a hedgehog, which are used to defend against attacks. Functionally, these spikes serve as ventilation and a hidden aperture for the device’s lighting. Hedgehog needs to be visible, but it does not stand out like a piece of consumer electronics. Its friendly appearance allows it to blend into almost any interior, regardless of decor.
