Gender Equality

In line with the approach that a poster can do without illustrations as long as it generates attention with typography, this series features an exclusively typographic design. The posters’ bold white visuals are based on three pairs of Chinese characters – “man / woman”, “male /female” and “masculinity / femininity”. By adding a few strokes, each pair has been combined to create a new sign. In this way, the posters symbolically reflect the overcoming of stereotypes and stress the point that gender differences are overrated.
