The robust G3 Max Mecha smartphone can serve as not only a phone, but also a 50 MP underwater camera when used in the corresponding mode. The device meets IP68 and IP69K standards, meaning it is protected from dust, dirt and sand and can survive submersion to a maximum water depth of 1.5 metres for up to 30 minutes. It is also able to withstand a water pressure of 100 bar and a water temperature of up to 80 degrees Celsius. “With its dual functionality, this robust, minimalistically designed device brings more flexibility to everyday applications that place high demands on materials and construction,” said the jury.
