FOR is a modular system for connecting municipal facilities that allow a city to raise the maintenance, repair and management efficiency of municipal facilities. Under this system, new municipal facilities can be easily combined with existing structures. To add structures, select the right module to be combined at the desired position. A consistent aesthetic is easily maintained due to the modules' common shapes and forms. The status of each module can be sent to the management room through IoT, upon which the data can be analysed and the analysis applied to recompose appropriate modules. Based on this data, fast repair is possible with no waste of labour.
With FOR, additional streetlights and surveillance cameras can be installed when needed to secure public safety. There is also some energy saving by removing unnecessary traffic lights in specific areas. By combining a bit of design and technology to urban facilities, efficient and economical management of facilities is possible. It also helps with gathering big data for a more detailed grasp of the city.
