Escape Down H2Flow™ Parka
Fashion Follows Function
Anyone who has ever stood freezing at the bus stop in a stylish winter jacket has experienced first hand that the combination of function and aesthetics cannot be taken for granted. That jacket obviously wasn’t a Helly Hansen parka, because the fusion of contemporary design and functional properties is a top priority for the traditional outdoor specialist. The Escape Down Flow Parka is a perfectly orchestrated item of clothing that the judges were very taken with: “This is a fusion of function, comfort and technology at the very highest level. The design is comprehensible and the colour combinations are very charming,” was the jury’s verdict. A glimpse behind the scenes at Helly Hansen sheds light on the fascinating development process. Close collaboration with Arctic scientists who are constantly exposed to unpredictable weather and extreme temperatures is the basis for every new model design. Input from these field experts was also incorporated into the development of the Escape Down Flow Parka, which keeps wearers dry, warm and protected all the way through the winter. Moreover, the parka is designed with hybrid insulation, making it the perfect partner for outdoor adventures, while the patented HELLY TECH Protection enables waterproof, windproof and breathable performance. All components are sustainable, lightweight and flexible. Reflective details increase visibility in dark conditions. Helly Hansen’s models typically feature multiple practical pockets. Although the basic Helly Hansen cut is distinctively rectangular for all genders, there are still subtle differences between the women’s and men’s models. In the women’s parkas, the emphasis is on greater warmth in the core areas, while the men’s models focus on better air circulation and rapid heat dissipation. The designs therefore take both gender-specific needs and different physiologies into account. “This parka is simply great, especially for cold climates,” concluded both female and male jurors.
