Equal Justice Initiative (EJI) opened the National Memorial for Peace and Justice as well as The Legacy museum to allow visitors to gather and reflect on America’s history of racial inequality. The illustrated 2D video developed for this purpose provides historical facts about the domestic slave trade. This dark and heavy history is reflected in a visually impactful way in the realistic charcoal drawings. The unembellished design of the scenes not only informs the observer but also appeals to the emotions.
