In order to control the preparation of tea precisely, the DOURO tea press features a brewing system similar to what is used with a French press. Once brewing is complete, a silicone plunger locks in the tea leaves at the bottom of the filter, stopping the tea from steeping. Both the 1.5-litre can and the lid are manufactured of matte black porcelain. The handle, made of bright, smooth-cut wood, rests comfortably in the hand. The silicone rim of the filter makes sure it stays in place and remains cool, allowing the filter to be removed safely.
