Book
Designing Women
This work explores the interaction between design and society with a focus on the depiction of women. The implementation underlines the versatility of the topic by presenting a tête-bêche bound book which can be read from both sides. Starting from one side, readers first encounter the chapter “Understanding Gender”, from the other side the part “Designing Women”. The chapters “Historical Context” and “Women Design” meet in the middle. Throughout the book, the layout plays with the interaction of black and white, emphasising that the contents are inextricably intertwined both artistically and thematically.
