Design x Taipei

The aim of the poster was to provoke reflections on the issue of design and the urban environment in Taiwan. Following the assumption that the look of a city basically depends on the prevailing ideology, a portrait of Chiang Kai-Shek, who was the long-standing political leader of the Republic of China, dominates the composition. The silhouette of the politician’s head is embedded in a dazzling array of Taiwanese advertisements. In their highly dense yet vivid design, they epitomise the hustle and bustle of an Asian metropolis.
