The Inspiron Duo features a screen-hinge system allowing the user to convert the standard netbook position into that of a tablet by simply shifting the screen 180 degrees. This enables the device to be optionally used as netbook or as tablet PC. The strength of the unit is that it can be employed for both professional and private purposes; not only emails but also ebooks can be comfortably read, and the Duo is moreover suitable for gaming and viewing films. The target group is young families, students and technology-savvy youth, as is reflected in the contemporary design.
