Curv

Curv is a bench made of high-performance concrete. Designed to have the shape of a folded surface, this bench plays on the contrast between its light, floating character and the heavy, robust nature of concrete. The intention was to increase the appeal of benches as urban furniture by re-interpreting concrete and highlighting the use of this material in a spectacular design.

Statement by the Jury

This bench highlights the possibilities concrete as a material has to offer. Transparency and lightness are paired with expression and solidity.
