The pieces of the Color Theory Puzzle do not fit together like a traditional puzzle. Instead, colours and shades must be properly matched to find the right place on the board. The finished puzzle shows how colours merge into each other and illustrates that each colour comes in different shades. Thus, it also serves as an introduction to colour gradation. The product is made of FSC-certified wood from sustainable forestry.

Statement by the Jury

In contrast to conventional jigsaw puzzles, in the Color Theory Puzzle it is not the shapes but the colours that determine whether the pieces fit together. This presents children with an exciting challenge, while simultaneously awakening their interest in colour theory.
