With the sentence “The design should make the product speak to you”, designer Dieter Rams summed up his design theory in the 1990 book “Die leise Ordnung der Dinge” (The Quiet Order of Things). Working with Braun for a very long time, Rams played a key role in shaping the company’s designs. The concept of the Braun Audio LE speaker series picks up on the classic Braun audio devices. The aim was to celebrate the timeless Essentialist design ethos of their origins from 1959 and translate it into today’s lifestyle. A carefully coordinated purism combines with a high-quality sound and performance spectrum. The series comprises three loudspeakers that were engineered with state-of-the-art BMR (Balanced Mode Radiator) drive units creating a non-directional, panoramic sound stage. Alongside the BMRs, the speakers also feature other advanced audio technologies, including low-profile aluminium high-excursion woofers, class-D amplifiers and the latest generation of switching power supplies. These, paired with specially developed square passive radiators, deliver audio clarity, sound dispersion and bandwidth commensurate with the slim-form loudspeaker design. In addition, these smart speakers also feature multi-room functionality and stereo pairing, complemented by voice control and Wi-Fi streaming options. Last but not least, the room placement EQ settings in the Braun Audio app provide sound optimisation tunable to perfection.
