The Boost prosthetic hand for children and adolescents from six to 18 years has been designed to meet the visual and functional needs of adolescents through ergonomic joint settings. Four independently adjustable hubs make an adjustment of the joint angle possible so that gestures look more natural, while soft silicone muffles the collision sound between the 3D printed parts and simulates a more realistic wearing experience. The wrist joint element is fixed with breathable, elastic fabric so that the prosthesis can be worn like a glove. The glove part can be detached and washed. The jury was won over by the natural look and the child- and growth-oriented characteristics of the prosthetic hand.
