“Enduring, not ultimate form”: from “Industrieform” to Red Dot (1980 - 1997)
Bom
Bom enables deaf people to communicate with AI through sign language. It uses a camera to detect signs and displays responses in sign language avatars and text. Designed around the observation skills of deaf people, Bom features warm wood colours and fabric, making it a welcoming daily assistant that bridges the gap between technology and accessibility.
