Inspired in both form and function by a flower’s calyx as well as an earlier .MGX model called One_Shot.MGX, the Bloom table lamp’s lampshade can be both opened and closed. When the shade is open, the light is brighter than the soft light it emits when it is shut. As with the One_Shot.MGX, the shade, together with its hinges, is printed in one piece in 3D technology. In just one movement, the shade opens from a bud to the shape of a flower in full bloom. The Bloom lamp’s unusual design opens up new possibilities for 3D technology.
