BanHu-Baijiu

This packaging design visualises the product name BanHu, which literally means “half bottle” in Chinese. It implies a kind of ancient oriental philosophy positing that things will go in the opposite direction when they become extreme. The upper part of the bottle features white colour to distinguish it from the transparent texture of the body, while the glassy lower part of the bottle showcases an irregular shape symbolising the flow of water. At the joint between the upper and lower parts, a figure is carved that looks like a sage standing on a boat, highlighting the water flow design in the lower part of the bottle.
