Automatic sorting system in delivery service

This project aims to revolutionise the logistics industry by combining efficient exterior design, versatile interior layout, and the incorporation of three advanced cargo loading systems. It ensures worker convenience and safety while increasing efficiency at every stage of the logistics process by using AI-based grouping that takes into account logistics volume and areas. The goal is to establish seamless logistics and optimised transportation operations with no wasted time. The driver screen and cargo system are integrated, allowing operators to access accurate cargo and logistics information both inside and outside of the driving space via IP screens or mobile devices. Concerning the loading systems, the first design was inspired by carousel systems and developed to allow loading using AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles) from the trunk area. It can hold up to six containers (cargo packs) at once, with only the necessary cargo pack opening during unloading. This design is based on ergonomic principles, giving operators convenience and quick access while potentially aiding in injury prevention. The second design involves hanging and rotating along a rail track, which is best suited for small-scale logistics or products that require refrigeration, such as food. The final design is manual, with the loading platform moving vertically to the best unloading position. The exterior is a compact 1-box shape (5100mm in length, 1995mm in width, and 2300mm in height), which maximises cargo capacity. The interior design focuses on optimising space utilisation while considering the characteristics of delivery vehicles that are typically operated by a single person. It incorporates smart surfaces, morphing surfaces, and independent air conditioning systems for seats. Modular cargo storage spaces and customisable tile-like wall systems are also implemented.
