The ArtiSential is a handheld laparoscopic instrument which allows highly flexible rotational movements due to the vertical / horizontal joint structure of the end effector. The movements of the end-effector joints match the user’s fingers and wrist movements, which enables intuitive manipulations and secures high control performance over the instrument. This facilitates even technically complicated surgeries that cannot be operated with rigid instruments.
