Arteriovision has been developed for the early detection of vascular diseases. It uses a patented technology, the Arterial Stiffness Index, in order to measure the degree of arterial stiffness in all four extremities. To ensure that the blood pressure cuffs can be correctly assigned and attached to each body part, they are colour-coded and have the operating instructions printed on them. The measurements are entirely coordinated via a tablet PC, allowing the number of control elements on the main unit to be reduced to the essentials.
Statement by the Jury
