The new generation of the Accu-Chek® Mobile blood glucose monitoring system enables people with diabetes to test their blood glucose (bG) levels even more intuitively. The strip-free system contains 50 tests on a continuous tape providing bG monitoring in four simple steps. Its smart design allows for more discreet daily handling and USB connectivity facilitates easy evaluation of the bG data via PC-ready reports. The Accu-Chek® FastClix system includes the world’s first lancing device that is primed and released with just one click and offers six preloaded lancets in a drum. Lancets are safely retracted into the drum to help reduce the risk of accidental sticks and minimize fear of lancing.

Statement by the Jury

The intuitive use of the blood glucose monitoring system and the lancing device make the process of blood sampling easy to understand and learn. The integration of the tape cassette and the lancing device give the patient increased independence.
