14:31pm 2013.7.3 In Tamagawa Aqueduct The Completed Version

Back Download

This special publication was created as part of an experimental design which tries to explore new possibilities of communication. The subject of the seven booklets is the 43 km long Tamagawa aqueduct in Tokyo, which guides drinking and fire extinguishing water from the river to the town. The project aims to evoke the aesthetic of the aqueduct and make it perceptible for all senses. In order to do this, at 2.31 pm on 7 March 2013, a recording was made for one minute and subsequently documented. The booklets include the complete records of the creation process of the work: to consider all of the senses, they contain information about the visual, tactile, aural and olfactory perception.
