Young Professionals Application Day
A modern yet timeless wooden housing encloses the OneLife X air purifier, which received two awards from the Red Dot jury in 2022: for its reusable, easy-to-clean filter and its manufacture from renewable and recycled raw materials, the jurors awarded it as Innovative Product in addition to the Red Dot award.
The team from OneLife is one of the 50 lucky young entrepreneurs who won a free registration place in the draw at the Young Professionals Application Day 2022. They are now using the Red Dot Design Award to communicate the design standards they set for their device to the public.
This year, there is once again the opportunity to take part in the draw as an up-and-coming designer. The time has come on 7 December, when the portal will be open for 24 hours to apply for the free places.

The products of the drawn talents will be evaluated together with those of all participants by the Red Dot jury. If they are awarded, the extensive measures for winners are available to the young talents free of charge.
Red Dot: How do you describe your company yourself?
Jonas Janßen: We are a young company that has set its focus on permanently improving the health and quality of life of its customers. We work on high-quality products that are unique on the market in the field of air purification with the innovative technology and high-class design. In our design team, consisting of my colleagues Benedikt Maubach, Yannik Gurrath, Christian Schenkewitz and myself, we have therefore developed the OneLife X, which combines all these goals.
What makes your product unique?
Our product offers many advantages compared to other air purifiers. Of course, our modern design with bamboo and fabric elements is striking and can be integrated into any living or working environment. However, our filter technology has great advantages for both the customer and the environment: on the one hand, the filter unit is washable and therefore does not need to be replaced, and on the other hand, the technology enables extremely quiet and energy-saving operation. Thus, the customer saves high energy and filter costs without burdening the environment.
What motivated you to take part in the Red Dot Design Award?
As the OneLife design team, we have long been aware of the Red Dot Award as a prestigious design award. Therefore, we saw the participation in the competition as an opportunity to both confirm our way of combining air purification with high-class design and to use it to draw more attention to the topic of air purification.
We developed the OneLife X not only for the Covid pandemic, but because of the generally high levels of harmful particles in our air, which pose an invisible threat to our health.
To what extent has participation in the Red Dot Design Award supported you as a young entrepreneur/young designer?
The participation and, of course, the award as Red Dot winner has strengthened us in our design approach that we have chosen at OneLife. We have received a lot of positive feedback on our award and are delighted to also be able to exhibit our product in the Red Dot Museum.
