Founded in 1998 in South Korea, LOTTE Mart is one of the country's largest domestic retail chains, with international branches in China, Indonesia and Vietnam. The LOTTE Mart design team strives to not only continuously develop new products and design solutions, but also support customers in discovering their individual preferences. To this end, the team creates plans and designs that work at different levels in the areas of graphic, packaging and interior design, as well as branding. In this context, the aim is to break away from conventional megastore branding.

Jamsil Gothic for Lotte Group’s New Brand Image
The Jamsil Gothic typeface was created as a first step in the LOTTE Group's rebranding journey. Based on the shape of a silkworm, the sans serif typeface offers elegant simplicity and readability. The silkworm symbolises not only the company's past, but also its youthful present.
