Yan Chen Corner
The Taiwanese town of Kaohsiung has preserved some old corner houses in the traditional arcuate shape. This project consists of two parts: the “Old House Creative Book” and the “Old Corner House Picture Book”. They combine surrealist illustrations with typical structural characteristics of those corner houses. Each book presents the past, present and future of a corner house. The cover of the first part features hand-drawn illustrations and three-dimensional spatial structures, while the cover of the second part resembles a frame and presents the current facade of the corner buildings inside a plastic cover to symbolise their conservation.
