WuYu Chair’s continuous profile highlights the thought that goes into the every detail of the product. This process is refined and enhanced via the choice of material, colour and form of the product. The sleek natural curve on the chair is achieved by using smooth and moisturising wood and this delicate form is only made possible through a long and laborious sculpting process. Such a spatial “atmosphere” was determined from the beginning of the design process and inspired by traditional aesthetics. Using modern ideas and methods of design to interpret traditional and cultural ideologies, the merging of lines focuses on the dialogue between the different parts and details of the chair to achieve the design vision.
