The Forum Landtag visitor center at the Lower Austria State Parliament is an immersive experience of political work. The dynamically designed space comprises eight exhibition stations and is characterised by flowing forms. The designers were inspired by the adjacent River Traisen and the play of light through the large windows. The walls are clad in reflective aluminium. In addition to a walk-in floor projection, two stations offer the opportunity to interactively request information using Kinect technology. “The target-group-oriented design concept invites exploration and conveys openness and transparency through architectural means”, said the jury.
