The Guidebook of Marine Debris

뒤로 다운로드

The “Guidebook of Marine Debris” presents the first guide to marine debris in Taiwan. The website has been published by the RE-THINK Environmental Education Association to raise people’s awareness of environmental issues, especially the huge amount of garbage in the oceans. Special about the approach is that the guide transforms jetsam into “aesthetic waste” and highlights 101 products covering the most commonly found plastic objects from the trash washed ashore on the beaches of Taiwan, as well as those of the Midway Islands, which are thousands of miles away. Ranging from a Hello Kitty stuffed toy and a rubber duck to a wide variety of different vessels, as well as shoes, toothbrushes, a mobile phone and a lighter, the objects are complemented by a mobile-friendly interface and a 3D 360-degree display option. In this way, an interesting online-interactive experience was created that impressively makes users aware of what does not belong in the sea.
