The Anniversary

An elderly couple, Mark and Ethel, celebrate their wedding anniversary in a special way: with a little music and a bit of murder. The short film is easy to understand, even without spoken words. This is ensured by the apparently effortless performance of two experienced stage actors. The story is complemented by music which underlines the ambi-guity of the characters, while important plot points are highlighted by special sound effects. Featuring elements which are dramatic in some parts and more comedy-like in others, the film constantly surprises with unpredictable twists up to the very end.
