The Ageless City – Seoul

Seoul City has a long history but more than 75 per cent of its architecture has been built after 1980. These posters address this situation. “The ageless city, Seoul” is a typeface design that describes the change in architecture of five representative landmarks from 1980 to 2012. Each letter shows the style of architecture at a specific time: for instance, the characters M, A, H, P, R and N describe the change in architecture of Seoul station. All letters have been selected for this design based on the connection between their shape and that of the specific building, and the architectural style they represent.
