Taiwanese Festival
This project is based on Taiwan’s six best-known lantern festivals. It aims to highlight local folk traditions and promote them in a special, traditional manner. Among these classic festivals is the momentous Bombing Master Han Dan festival in Taitung, where bare-chested men, playing the role of Lord Han Dan, voluntarily have fireworks thrown at them. The vibrant illustrations, printed in lively colours on a black background, are also available on 3D plexiglass light boxes and memorably presents the project’s message.
