Sunhyangjeong

The Sunhyangjeong (Bell Pavilion of Echoing Virtue) was designed to echo a sound of peace and prosperity in Asia at the ASEAN–Republic of Korea Commemorative Summit 2019 in Busan, South Korea. Its overall shape and meaning follow that of traditional Korean bells, although reinterpreted in a modern context applying 5G and AI technology. The pavilion was also designed to empathise with pan-Asian orientalism beyond Korean characteristics. The landscape of oriental painting is linked with the bell and welcomed the target group of Asian leaders with a serene but magnificent echoing sound.
