A Drawing Tool For Visually Impaired People
Smart City Coding Education Kit
Logiblocs Smart City can be used as a home-learning aid for children to learn STEAM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) in an engaging way.
Fundamental principles and concepts of computational thinking and coding can be too abstract for young minds to grasp when their cognitive skills are not fully developed. The design concept behind Logiblocs Smart City is to provide a useful tool for demonstrating virtual concepts in a tactile manner, transforming coding from an individual stick-to-screen process to a tangible interactive process between the players and the system. The interactive outputs inspire children to investigate various inventions.
Inside each colour-coded electronic building block are various circuit boards. Each block serves a different purpose as a ‘input’, ‘output’, or ‘logic gate’, which are the fundamentals of programming. The plug-and-play feature of these small ‘blocs’ allows children as young as 4-5 years old to create simple programmes by plugging in different functions of electronic blocks to serve as a microchip that operates various electronic systems: a doorbell, a bath water overflow alarm, a police siren light, or complex signal systems such as a cross junction traffic light or a programable robotic arm. The process is completely screen-free and enjoyable!
