Scan&Go

The goal of the Scan&Go app is to reduce checkout time for customers in supermarkets by transforming their smartphone into a virtual checkout counter. Developed as a digitised shopping experience for the retail industry, customers can scan their selected items with the app. By using specially designated checkout lanes provided by supermarkets in conjunction with virtual payment options, the time customers spend on queueing and payment is significantly shortened. It is thus possible to go through these processes in just one minute, rather than the usual average of three to five minutes during peak hours.
