What do we call a sofa when its features have been remodelled? This redesigned sofa-like product refreshes the functions of a sofa based on how people actually use it. In everyday life, many people prefer to sit on the mat in front of the sofa, with their back against the sofa, rather than on the sofa cushion. In response to this tendency, the original sofa cushion is shortened and transformed it into a small countertop. The sofa mat serves as the ‘actual’ cushion, with the original cushion serving as the back. What do you call stairs that are not used for climbing? It is not uncommon for people to use the stairs outside public buildings as a makeshift seat while resting against the handrail. Inspired by this scenario, the steps and handrail of this sofa have been given new functions. The steps are converted into proper seats by extending them and lowering the height of the handrail to serve as the back of the seats.
