Inspired by forms found in nature, the Mate C chair has an organic-looking aesthetic. In the opinion of the jury, “it manages to deliver an environmentally thoughtful reinterpretation of the popular seat shells of the 1960s.” In line with the sustainability commitments of the manufacturer – a socially aware cooperative – the chair is produced from a limited number of easily separable and recyclable components. Its gently curved seat adheres to an ergonomically favourable geometry while the product concept meets the demanding requirements of both the hospitality sector and private users. The chairs are stackable and, thanks to the use of fibreglass and special types of steel, highly durable.
