Lux Nemus

Lux Nemus is an interactive projection experience and part of Metsä Group’s Pro Nemus visitor centre. It consists of a collection of custom-made walls showcasing the company’s wood, fibre and other innovative products. The product collages are enriched with projections that invite visitors to interact with these wall installations via touchscreens. Individual products can be highlighted, whereupon the light projection starts to present more detailed information on the selected product, such as the use of the product or its material properties through visual and motion design. The aim of the installation is to show that and how Metsä Group uses 100 per cent and thus every part of a tree as efficiently and sustainably as possible. The user interfaces were mounted waist-high on simple stands made of sustainable wood in line with the CI and present themselves in a friendly and intuitively understandable way. Unlike other light-based installations, all projections are shown in a well-lit room so that visitors can also make unrestricted use of the other installations in the visitor centre.
