Loopbody

The Loopbody is a product very obviously designed by people who are accustomed to being around children on a daily basis. What makes this bodysuit innovative is that it doesn’t have to be fastened between the legs, a fiddly feature of conventional products. Instead, it has been designed so that the lower section forms a loop with large openings for the legs when it is unfastened. Once the upper section is fitted on the baby – either from above over the head, or from below over the torso – the legs merely have to be pushed through the openings and the loop pulled up over the tummy like a pair of trousers. For nappy-changing, the loop section can simply and quickly be pulled down again, leaving the child lying in an unencumbered position on top of the fabric loop. In addition to being convenient to use, the bodysuit is also highly effective at keeping the child’s torso warm and protecting it against draughts. Another benefit of the flexible fit and length of the bodysuit is that it grows with the child for up to a year, making it durable and thus sustainable. Hand-sewn in Berlin, the Loopbody is made of a micro-modal and cashmere fabric produced and dyed in Italy, or of certified organic cotton. Containing five per cent elastane, the material is supple and elastic, so that it moulds itself seamlessly to the baby’s body and is extremely comfortable to wear.
