Loop

With an aesthetic inspired by the old glass insulators traditionally used on utility poles, this pendant luminaire is highly distinctive. “Loop is not only visually appealing but comes with clever detailing and provides a high level of lighting comfort,” the jury found. The luminaire is made up of 26 newly developed lenses with a special optical effect that subtly illuminates the outer face of each lens. These rings cast a controlled, direct beam of light either downwards or upwards, depending on the model. The rings are suspended in a transparent borosilicate glass tube and supported by a cylindrical core made of anodised aluminium. Loop is available in gold or black gloss.
