Interactive Multimedia Exhibit
Interaktives Periodensystem
This interactive multimedia exhibit allows experts as well as laymen to experience the world of chemistry in a new and exciting way. The concept explains chemical correlations and relationships in a simple and logical manner by having the visitor experience them interactively. Pure samples of natural elements, ranked according to the periodic table, are displayed in a glove box, a typical piece of equipment used in labs. The user works inside of it as if working with a microscope and accesses in-depth information with the help of augmented reality. This visual approach to a real-life lab situation explains, in a playful manner, what it is like to work scientifically. The periodic table becomes a haptic, mediatic and aesthetic experience.
