This travel padlock functions without a key. It communicates via a Bluetooth enabled smartphone (iOS or android), a smart watch or an NFC-enabled key fob and thus locks and unlocks luggage. A special proximity tracking setting sends a notification when the case or bag exceeds a maximum distance of nine metres from the user. The smart padlock is recognised and accepted by the U.S. agency TSA, enabling the custom officer to open and examine the luggage without damaging the lock.
