With the Digital Book Kiosk DBK, digital multimedia and interactive content can be explored with the help of a paper book. Navigation is done by turning pages, touching and dragging. The book is made of traditional Korean paper which is more tear-resistant and antibacterial than conventional paper. The housing of the DBK unit has a mesh surface with the look and feel of an analogue, paper-based book. The kiosk is equipped with a wheeled frame and can be moved according to its intended use. The jury was enthusiastic about this concept: “DBK combines an analogue medium with the digital world in an innovative way, delivering an exceptional user experience.”
