CirCrop

CirCrop, a multi-functional seedling tray made of agricultural waste and recycled pulp, has a hard shell that protects crops from pests and animals in the early stages of growth, which causes crop necrosis. It also protects crops from damage during planting, extending crop survival. Because of the material’s properties, it naturally decomposes in the soil and converts into nutrients to help crops grow, resulting in a truly environmentally friendly circular design. CirCrop’s greatest environmental impact is the reduction of plastic used and the closed-loop created by its recycling process, which produces no agricultural waste. It incorporates consideration for the natural environment into its economic model, resulting in a more ‘restorative’ and ‘regenerative’ circular economy that allows waste to be recycled indefinitely. Finally, CirCrop uses the most natural materials and does not add any chemical materials, resulting in the most natural and organic produce. Its modular design considers the need to stack and respond to different agricultural fields, which allows users to customise their selection according to the features of their fields.
