Chien-Chu-Chia – We Build More than Architecture

This interactive installation reveals the history of Taipei through architecture. It provides the users with a threefold learning experience. Firstly, it sharpens their insight in the various architectural elements, which can be examined in detail by clicking on them. Secondly, users can choose various Taipei buildings from a collection and construct them on the screen themselves, similar to a tangram. This enhances their understanding of each architectural style. Thirdly, the app provides information on the history of the individual buildings, for example their changing usage over the years.
