The AKG Y50 has a stainless-steel headband, which, due to its self-contained design, does not compromise sound quality. The other components are fashioned from premium materials as well. The earcups are made of aluminium, and the hinges consist of fibreglass-reinforced polycarbonate. Ear and head cushions are made from memory foam to enhance the durability and maximise the wearing comfort of these headphones.
