The Hungarian Fashion and Design Agency initiated the 360 Design Budapest exhibition as part of the Budapest Design Week 2020. What made the exhibition stand out was its phygital nature – a play with words which alludes to the fact that the creations of the designers could be seen both in a physical showroom and on a digital platform. The online exhibition could be explored in two different ways – either through a virtual tour of the real-life showrooms or in a 3D space which purely exists in the virtual world. This concept allowed designers to take part in the presentation despite the constraints of the pandemic and to extend the exhibition’s duration beyond the analogue event.
