Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2016 – jury session successfully completed
The jury session of the Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2016 has been a great success. For three days, the members of this year’s Red Dot jury evaluated the multiplicity of projects. The entries out of 21 main categories were judged by 26 specialists including design professionals from all around the world, journalists and industry experts. Some of them are already experienced Red Dot jurors, some of them are part of the panel for the first time. Red Dot always watches out for a balanced constellation in order to achieve a selection process as independent as possible.
And it remains exciting until the very end: Only at the Red Dot Gala, on 4 November at the Konzerthaus Berlin, it is traditionally announced, who will be honoured with the highest distinction of the competition, the Red Dot: Grand Prix. Maximally awarded in one category, it stands for highest design quality. Also the winner of the Red Dot: Junior Prize, endowed with 10,000 Euro and designated to the most talented up-and-coming designer, is only proclaimed on the evening of the awarding ceremony.
Afterwards, the who is who of the design industry celebrates this year’s winners at the Designers' Night at the E-Werk in Berlin. Here, the winners‘ exhibition „Design on Stage“ will exclusively be shown for one night.
