“Essential unique selling point of the creative industry” - Start of the Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2015!

A new year brings new opportunities, with the Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2015 ready to commence. Under the motto “Inspire the world”, the early bird registration phase for the globally renowned competition for communication design will start on 23 March. From that date on, designers, agencies, freelancers and companies are invited once again to submit their projects to the scrutiny of the international Red Dot jury. From Corporate Design to Print Advertising or Video and Online - the search is on for the best campaigns and graphics works from the world of communication design. There are no limits to the individual strengths of the participants. From Advertising to Packaging or Apps – the 17 categories in the competition offer creatives a large number of possibilities to prove the quality of their projects.

All those who succeed in convincing the international panel of experts will earn themselves the right to use the sought-after quality seal of the design industry, the Red Dot. The award impresses partners, industry experts and customers alike and guarantees global interest. There are also lots of other benefits for winners of the Red Dot Award: Communication Design. These range from the presentation of the award-winning work in the International Yearbook Communication Design and the Red Dot App to the online presentation and the “Design on stage” winners’ exhibition as well as communication in the media by Red Dot. In addition, award-winning communication campaigns travel around the world with Red Dot: From Berlin and Basel to Taipei and Singapore – Red Dot on Tour exhibits the winning projects in creative cities all over the globe.

“In a constantly developing world of business, creativity and innovation are the driving factors behind growth and success. Only those who outperform their competitors have a chance to secure their place in a global comparison. The independent assessment by our panel of experts is an indication of the status of the achievement and serves as proof of the design quality of the respective piece of work. For over 20 years, the award has been synonymous with top achievements in the creative industry and has become a marketing tool that stands the test of time and an essential unique selling point”. This is what Prof. Dr Peter Zec, founder and CEO of Red Dot, had to say when announcing the start of the Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2015.

“And the winner is…”

Once again this year, Red Dot will be celebrating in the creative metropolis of Berlin. On 6 November 2015, the competition winners will be honoured as part of the Red Dot Gala in Berlin’s glamorous Konzerthaus. Traditionally, it is not until the gala that the winner of the Red Dot: Grand Prix, the highest individual award in the competition, and the name of the up-and-coming designer to win the Red Dot: Junior Prize with prize money of EUR 10,000 is announced. The Red Dot: Agency of the Year and the Red Dot: Client of the Year also receive their trophies at the award ceremony. Afterwards, the international creative scene celebrates together into the early hours at the Designers’ Night in E-Werk, Berlin’s legendary party hotspot.

Participants can take advantage of the special rates for early registration during the early bird phase until 15 April. The subsequent regular registration phase runs until 21 May. The latecomers phase is the last chance to register for the competition and ends on 19 June 2015.
