Communication design from around the world – inspiring special exhibition in the Red Dot Design Museum Essen
From 18 March until 29 May 2016, the Red Dot Design Museum Essen in Germany presents current top-achievements of the international communication design scene in the special exhibition “World’s Best Communication Design and Highlights from NRW”. From clever packaging to informative apps to expressive posters: All of the works were bestowed within the Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2015 – with the highest distinctions “Red Dot: Best of the Best” and “Red Dot: Grand Prix”.
The exhibition of up-to-date trends, marketing tools, and communications solutions is completed by award-winning drafts made in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW). With its creative centres, such as Cologne and Düsseldorf, and excellent universities, such as the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Dortmund, the creative industries form one of the central markets in North Rhine-Westphalia. They add to a high degree to the federal state’s competitiveness and innovation capacity. In the special exhibition “World’s Best Communication Design and Highlights from NRW”, among others, 60 works from North Rhine-Westphalia demonstrate how to give shape to good ideas.
The about 130 excellently designed works come from both renowned designers, agencies, freelancers and companies, as well as up-and-coming talents. The range of exhibited creative projects spans illustrations, annual reports, and typographies, as well as games and interfaces. The works grant inspiring insights in the latest and most exciting strategies and illustrate impressively how to communicate in a creative way today.
