Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design

Digital Solutions – Design in Times of Transformation

Until 17 June, you can enter your work in the Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design 2022.

Digitalisation is influencing the way we work and irreversibly changing the way companies communicate in the market. State and public institutions are no less challenged to develop new formats of how they address citizens. “Digital Solutions” is a new category in the Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design for such projects that change the way we communicate and interact. “We recognise an important criterion for quality in design in the optimisation of use. This is especially true for the design of digital applications and processes,” says Professor Dr Peter Zec, founder and CEO of Red Dot, about digital applications.

The category “Digital Solutions” was developed for digital trailblazers who prefer to drive change themselves instead of being driven by it. The digital brand studio “Interactive Pioneers”, for example, is a forerunner. They have taken the video chatbot, which is integrated on the agency website, to a new level. Carlo Matic, founder of Interactive Pioneers takes a clear position on the topic of “change”: “The world is moving faster and faster – especially due to globalisation and digitalisation. Keeping up is not always comfortable, but it is better to disrupt yourself than to let others do it. It is no longer an option not to evolve.”

In 2021, 41 projects were awarded in the category “Digital Solutions” in the Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design. Among them are, for example, the virtual art exhibition “VOICE”, the website “Why are you not creative?” and the digital event “#NEXTGen 2020 – Reset the Mindset”.
